This is why I love photography

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in the night sky

Caught Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in the night sky tonight.  I will go out again Thursday, Friday and Saturday this weekend.  The next two days will of course be cloudy.  I'm so glad I went out to photograph the comet which hasn't been seen in 80,000 years by the residents of this planet.  I will be out again so soon.  This was caught with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II with a Canon f3.5-7.1 24-110.  I have a few more pictures on my own website.  As photography is my only source of income, please make a purchase.

New place

Street corner at dusk
So, it only took 3 weeks to fully move in and get everything setup.  Finally pulled out the Sony A7ii camera with the 24-200MM lens.  We live on the night floor facing north ward towards the Gatineau Hills.  We had a really nice sunset tonight.  I wanted to do some long exposures tonight of the cars passing by.  This is probably the best shot I got tonight.  I really miss using the camera.

Drone flight at dusk

Was out with the girlfriend last night at a friends place for dinner and a sit down by a fire.  I decided to test the DJI Spark out at dusk just to see how the camera would perform.  It's ok.  But it could be better.  A lot better.  Maybe in the spring I will upgrade to the DJI Mavic Pro 2.  The Hasselblad camera should help a bit.

I edited about 6 clips which I'm currently uploading to Shutterstock, Pond5 and Storyblocks.

Actually went flying tonight

Finally flew the DJI Spark at dusk today.  I'll have to view the video once I get them off the micro SD card but it will be interesting to see how well the footage turns out from the DJI Spark.  Took a few photos as well.  From the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, the footage and photos looked a bit noisy but I an fix that in post.

The rest of the weekends sounds like it's going to crap weather wise with 90% chance of rain for both Sunday and Monday.  So the girlfriend and I are planning on just going to church tomorrow in the morning and a movie in the afternoon.  Monday I want to pretty much read a few books and just relax.
