This is sort of new

This is kind of new for me.  I’ve had bosses in different buildings in the same city.  My current boss is in Victoria, British Columbia.  I’m in Ottawa, Ontario.  We have a 3 hour time difference.  I’ve never had a boss in a different province that’s more than half way across the country.  At least I won’t have a boss who will be looking over my shoulder.  I hate bosses like that.  LOL

By the skin of my teeth

I always seem to make it by the skin of my teeth.  I’ve been applying for jobs for 6 weeks now.  And finally got one.  I was supposed to have an interview today with a big government department.  Get down there half an hour early.  The guy I’m supposed to meet shows up 3 minutes before my interview.  We start talking.  He tells me the interview is going to be in French.  I tell him this was not discussed and no one told me this was a bilingual position.  I of course leave.  I email the pimp who sent me an email telling her what happened.  Do you think she replied to me?  Nope.  Not a word.  I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever deal with again.  This is the second time she’s done this to me.  I waste my time, money, wear and tear on my vehicle.  No apology.  No nothing.

Luckily I got a position with another big department today.  Pay is absolutely horrendous.  But it’s a job and it’ll keep me from collecting Employment Insurance.

I went and had a fantastic day yesterday at Parc Omega.  Got only 666 shots yesterday and only maybe a dozen good ones.  I do love my Sony A7II full frame camera.  Darkroom 4.1 came out last week and seems more stable.  Luckily I sold about $500US in photography last month which will save my arse to pay bills, rent and other stuff.  I love that photography is saving my rear end in the end.

Head west middle aged man!!!!

I have pretty much made up my mind to head out west in the spring of 2019.  I've been living in Ottawa since 1983 I absolutely despise living here.  The winters are harsh and the summers are short. I realize it's pretty much the same in Calgary weather wise.  Ottawa is located in eastern Ontario in a valley that spreads pretty far and wide.  So you get damp winters with lots of snow and a lot of rain in the summer which turn out to be hot and muggy.

When I was in Calgary last year, I loved it from the start.  I could see the mountains whenever I wanted.  They were a 45 minute drive.  I'd spend every weekend travelling the mountains exploring what I could.  Photography and shooting footage was an incredible experience.

I did not make any friends when I was out in Calgary as I was basically working all the time and travelling on weekends.  If I was at home, I'd be FaceTiming with my girlfriend.  I wasn't going to the gym then as I am right now.

I am planning on going to Calgary in late March 2019 or early April 2019.  Hopefully I will have a job in Calgary by then.  I hope the NDP is out of power by then so the economy will pick up and people can start working again.  My plans are to work, work out and get healthy and do more photography and shoot more footage.  That would make me really happy.

Loyalty

To family and a few friends.  I can count on one hand how many loyal friends I have.  At times I don't think I even need hands to count the amount of friends that are loyal. Today I feel like I can only count on my family and my girlfriend.  I'll pick myself up by doing some photography.  That always cheers me up. Because photography is awesome.
